Certain models of Case David Brown Tractors can have aSimms/Minimec or CAV pump. We have seen some of these with the Bosch PES*AStyle pump on them also. The model 1210 is one of these, the aftermarketservice manuals we have found will not even acknowledge that this model has aBosch pump there is no after market service manual that I have found that willgive you any detailed instructions on how to remove these.
If the tractor has one of the above pumps there should be asmall removable plate behind the radiator on the front of the timing gear coveropposite of the injector pump. For units without a removable plate follow theinstructions on the *70 Series Tractors.
Remove this cover, if it has a Simms or Bosch there will beone nut. It will take a 11/16 or a ¾ inch socket to remove this. If it has aCAV rotary pump there will be 3 small bolts that will take a ½ inch socket toremove.

ON THESE STYLE PUMPS THERE IS NO INTERNAL TIMING OF THE INJECTIONPUMP. The gear can not be moved with out first removing the whole timing gearcover, therefore it should not get out of time. The pump will only fit to thegear one way, and is aligned by a key way in the Bosch and Simms, and a dowelpin in the rotary CAV.
On the Simms and Bosch pumps the drive shaft is tapered andthe gear will not just fall off when the nut is removed, you will need a smallpuller to thread into the gear. If the gear is not equipped with holes for apuller first remove the lock washer and then thread the nut back onto the pumpdrive shaft leaving it flush with the end of the threads, then take a aluminumpunch or something of soft material and strike the nut. One quick jar shouldrelease the gear from the shaft.
